Junior Optimist Club
Youth helping youth
Our mission and purpose
The Waterloo Junior Optimists are committed to making positive changes in our community. Our goal as a group is to help out the community in diverse ways. Such as volunteering in community settings, fundraising and participating in local events.
This Waterloo Region Junior Optimist Club is run by youth under the supervision of adult advisors. We meet twice a month to discuss how we can better help our community and reflect on the progress we’ve made so far. Some examples of what we do include bottle drives, toy drives, youth nights, and more.
If you're in grades 6 to 12 and are looking for something to do, consider joining us!
If you can only attend a couple of meetings or events a year, no problem, anything helps! That being said, the more active members we have, the more we can make an impact!
The purpose of Junior Optimist International Clubs is Community Service. Each club is free to choose service projects, which fit the needs of the community.
